Patron Mod List Changes

So, despite my wishes I've found that there's at least one patron sharing the Patron Google Sheet list to non-patrons. It may not seem like a big deal, and to be honest it probably isn't. However, for me it's the principle because it specifically says (right next to the link): "Please do NOT direct anyone to the Google Sheet link!"
Ignoring that request is not only disrespectful to me, but it's also disrespectful to the rest of my patrons that are actually paying for this perk.
I'm not mad or upset, it is what it is. However, I've put an unimaginable amount of time, blood, sweat, and tears into this list (ok maybe not the last three, but you get it! π). I know I can't control everything. I can, however, do what I can to prevent it from happening. So...
βThe Mod List [Patron Edition] is now located on Scarlet's Realm and only patrons will be able to access it by signing in. Don't worry, all patron only pages and posts will remain ad-free. All NSFW mods are already included, so you do have to be at least 18 to access it. I'll make a SFW Only Patron Edition in the next few days (if needed).
Just to clarify, I didn't decide to make this change based solely on someone sharing the google sheet. To be honest, it also gives me more free time (I don't have to constantly check and worry about the mods in the Patron Google Sheet displaying properly). Plus, switching them out for every patch was tiring. I think it'll also be easier for everything to be in one place.
I'll leave the google sheet available for the rest of Patch 1.99 (it'll still receive updates), that way there's a backup just in case there's any issues. Plus, give everyone time to transition to the change.
If you have any issues, please let me know immediately so I can take care of them! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me...I don't bite (unless provoked ππ)!

Edit (a few hours later) β Just to sum up/clarify a few things:
- The Mod List Changelogs will still be done the same way (in google sheets). The latest link will always be available here.
- After Patch 1.99, The Mod List will no longer be available in google sheets to anyone. Patrons will access the ad-free Patron Edition of the Mod List on Scarlet's Realm.
I know some of you may not want to continue supporting me for this change and I completely understand. This is actually another reason why I'm leaving the Patch 1.99 google sheet up. So that those of you that aren't ok with the change will still receive this benefit through the rest of your billing cycle. It's also why I'm announcing it at the end of the month while we are in the middle of a patch with not much mod news going on anymore. So that you have time to decide if you want to continue being a patron or not before the next patch and billing cycles approach.
I'll be sad to see anyone go because of this change, but I completely understand your decision and appreciate that you decided to support me at all. β€οΈ
I do hope that you understand where I'm coming from though and that I have to do what's best for me sometimes too π
π Future patron tier coming soon (I'm hoping before the next patch) that I've been working on for the past couple weeks that you might be interested in. The tier will include a personalized mod list. Which not only gives you access to a google sheet, but it will be a google sheet that shows only YOUR mods. There will be a limited number of patrons that can join this tier. More details as I work them out will come later. So, if you do decide to delete your pledge, make sure to at least keep following me so you can receive more news on this tier and when it will become available.

2023-12-06 18:41:17 +0000 UTCI'm sounding like a broken record (or maybe mod?) saying I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Honestly I can't believe anyone with half a brain doesn't appreciate the INCREDIBLE amount of personal time and effort put into your list. It's a deal breaker for the Sims 4 without it since the happy, happy day I found it since it is also a deal breaker to play without mods lol. Also am glad that platforms like Patreon have become a thing to help support all of that personal time and effort people put into things like your list and mods. I know it can be tough with budgeting, uncertain job market, and many other real world issues to support financially. Personally I consider it going towards my entertainment budget as playing this game is one of the things that helps me cope with constant pain. Having developed several chronic medical issues after being bit by a tick and getting Lyme's from it has changed my life drastically so having things like this game, audiobooks, etc, keep me sort of sane and the reason for that overshare is that as it is something I depend upon for distraction, having your list is invaluable in keeping the game working through EA's seemingly constant updates/patches/DLC, etc. THANK YOU!

It has been INVALUABLE to me in getting back up to date with all the mods available, finding replacements, etc. Seriously, thank you. <3

While the patron mod list is the same as the public at the moment, I am working on adding more filters. So in the next few days it will be an improved public version π That makes perfect sense and I really appreciate your kind words and support. β€οΈ

Usually I view the google sheet list from my iPad and was unable to sort anyway. EDIT: I love the functionality of the public mod list - very easy to sort and search on any device. And I appreciate the work you do more than the way in which it is delivered, does that make sense? π

For me, the benefit of subscribing was access to a Google sheet which came with the inherent functionality of Google to use functions to sort and filter mods to a bespoke degree. (I have 150+ mods - searching manually isn't tenable for me.) Personally I'm sad to see the Google system disappear, losing it takes away the value for me. π’
