We pick things up weeks later, after the highly classified information gets into the right hands and is leveraged to change the course of events for the better. Of course we all know the story of Sophie Nevers and her heroic, nude, quarter mile streak for freedom, but few of us understand what it was like to experience it, from the ground: all the screaming and jiggling that happened on that bright August day. That's why we honour our heroes. With our time, with our money, and sometimes with larger than life full colour statues complete with freckles and everything. Because our heroes are something special, and they deserve the best in all things.
Sophie doesn't appear to be as into this honour as much as she normally would. Perhaps she's thinking the sculptor could have picked an earlier point in her mission to immortalize. Maybe the part at the beginning where she was still fully dressed. But in time she will come to appreciate it and see what we see: heroism at its finest.
So that's it for this story, I hope you all enjoyed it. Once again it went a bit longer than I would have liked, but there was so much fun stuff I wanted to get in there- both suggested by you and from my own demented brain- that it just got away from me. Thanks again to RunFree RunWilder for the suggestion: I had a lovely time drawing it.
Up next will be a continuation of something I started on DA ages ago that I've been itching to finish. Stay tuned!
