Small "me" update

First off, really want to apologize for my recent lack of activity. I know that other than a late post last month I've been pretty inactive on here. 

A lot going on for me these days. I as mentioned I moved. My last long term roommate (12 years!) got married. That was my last "safety blanket" as I try to make some serious changes in my life and it's fairly difficult. Turns out it's been much harder than my actual job.

I recently had my first physical in a couple of years and my doctor asked if I had been dealing with any depression recently. I said no but I realize i was kind of lying. I definitely at the very least feel out of sorts still and although I am physically settled emotionally and mentally I'm trying to solve a bunch of other problems that I am doing my best to not face (sometimes).

Aside from that it's fall, and my freelance work has picked up, and I've been adding more training to my regiment in general. Some of that has been to cope with all the changes but I owe you guys a responsibility since y'all are paying (and for people that left and may return, have paid) for updates and stories. 

I may revisit the volume of my updates. Currently I'm at 2 updates a month, but something that may make it easier to consolidate my attention would be one update a month that's longer.  Currently two stories split my attention which is why in the months I do post I really get to post both (most consistently) by end of the month instead of bi-weekly or something along those lines. And frankly, I'm not 25 anymore with a lot of idle time on my hands. One thing that also changed was the whole WFH thing, and being in the office in a more open plan where I can just pop open another tab and type in peace is not possible these days. Plus before I used to bring my personal laptop to the office so I wasn't logging keystrokes on my work comp-that's not possible for me at the moment so i'm relegated to being at home to accomplish any writing I do. between that and driving i'm losing another 5-6 hours 3-4x a week that I had a few years ago to sit and write without interruption.

Please don't take my silence as a slight against y'all. I'm very grateful for your support. Frankly, this has touched all of my writing life and I'm definitely "under the gun", so to speak, with a few commissions that have gone on for FAR too long and the commissioner has been very generous with their patience and leeway.

AGain, I very much appreciate y'alls patience. I'm travelling the first week of november so I will have some stuff posted before then but I'l have to really set aside some time to address this since the next two weeks are going to be pretty chock full.
