140kg Hip Thrusts ❤️‍🔥

Weeewww, decided to smash the weight up a bit more on these as 135kg moved smoothly. Annoyingly, I didn’t feel them as much as I’d hoped. It could’ve been because I didn’t do enough glute activation before I went for it or something, I dunno…will try again next week!

All of that aside I’m happy with how they moved too 🥰 I have to pause the music in my headphones when I take videos, lifting heavy with just the shitty gym background noise is actually so hard 😂

Hey, Sophie- Many years ago when I lifted heavy, if I didn't feel the muscle working, I would do 1 of 2 things. Do additional reps at the lighter weight, focusing until I DID feel the burn, or up the weight and realize I had gotten stronger than I realized. :)

Hello :) I’m fairly new to this world and am still learning so forgive me :x but how/what exactly do you do to activate your glutes?? lol and is that something you should do for all muscles specifically before working on them? I always do some kind of warm up of course, but I’ve never thought of specific activations :p oh and you crush it!! :)
