Hey Builders and Makers! 🎩🕰️
I’m beyond excited to share my latest project with you — a fully functional Minecraft Clock that you can build and display in your own space! This clock doesn’t just look cool, it tells the time in real-time by rotating like the iconic in-game clock we all know and love.
What's in this post?
Full Build Guide: Step-by-step instructions so you can recreate this project at home.
Source Files: All the 3D models, code, and resources you’ll need.
Tips & Tricks: Insider notes on how to avoid common issues.
How It Works The Minecraft Clock rotates a custom image in sync with the actual time of day. It’s powered by a Raspberry Pi 5 and displayed on a sleek 5-inch round screen. I’ve coded it to resample the image into a blocky, pixelated effect reminiscent of the Minecraft aesthetic. It’s like having a real-life in-game clock right on your wall, desk, or workbench.
What's Inside the Build? 🔧 3D Printable Parts - Files ready for your 3D printer. 🤖 Code & Scripts - Fully commented Python code for the Raspberry Pi 5. 🌐 Mapped Images - Custom image files that you can use or modify. 🔄 Customizable Settings - Want to use a different image? You’re covered!
Build Time: With a bit of 3D printing experience, this project can be completed in just a day. All the parts are designed to be simple to print, assemble, and configure.
Why You Should Build It
