Channing Tatum brings his magic to Wrexham while a few aging stars step forward at just the right time. Wrexham tries to build a youth academy to set them up for the long run.

2025-06-03 00:41:16 +0000 UTCThe video they shot with Channing was a commercial for Stok Coffee (the same Stok that sponsor the stadium) and was aired during the superbowl. The academy has always existed (max came through the academy as the video said), and while it wasn't as well funded as it is now, it was the crown jewel of the club, and a big reason they were able to survive before Rob and Ryan came in, as Wrexham made all its money to survive by selling its academy players to bigger clubs. When an academy player "goes pro", they sign a contract with the club, but there isn't a stipulation that they have to play for the club. A large amount of good academy players get sold to other clubs for profit as soon as they turn 18-19. Fun fact, in the US the top academies are FC Dallas, New York Red Bulls, and Philadelphia Union. They've produced MANY players who played for the national team and been sold to big European clubs.
