Computer is toast. DR BEES delayed, but not for long...
Added 2021-02-16 09:49:11 +0000 UTCHELLO ALL,
Woke up to a world of fun on Saturday, with my computer unwilling to boot up. I received troubleshooting advice from someone much more experienced than I, and the computer is at least able to turn on. However, a wipe of Windows/all software/all drivers, along with a seemingly busted graphics card, means that things are delayed. Fortunately, all important files have been backed up and I will be ordering a new machine this week. Dr Bees 3 was very close to completion, so it's still possible I could finish this month if the new machine arrives in time.
In the meantime, I'll be visiting the Patreon discord more, writing a script for a Trilby Dogtooth project I've been meaning to finish, and staying busy in other ways. I promise you'll hear from me again this week.

Haha! Well, over the past few years my PC has gotten slower and slower, and it's probably sickening to dwell on how much time it has cost me. So yep, this will only make a positive difference.

2021-02-17 10:52:33 +0000 UTCAh, the good news was I was planning to get a new PC anyway and things were backed up. Just sucks to have a period of downtime.

2021-02-17 09:21:57 +0000 UTCSucks about your pc :( on the other hand, this is literally the first time I’ve heard of someone having back-upped their data BEFORE their computer ate shit, so good job on being prepared :D

2021-02-16 21:37:54 +0000 UTCSo what you're saying is there's some bugs in the old machine that sent it off to the hive, but you're still planning on making some sweet progress on a monster of a project? Got it! I hope shipping times are not absurd for you!

2021-02-16 17:16:28 +0000 UTCAlready ordered the next machine. It is what it is, I suppose. Can't help the price. Thanks :)

2021-02-16 16:07:47 +0000 UTCOoof. It's a bad time to buy new hardware, prices have skyrocketed, and there's very little availability. Hope you find something.

2021-02-16 10:40:00 +0000 UTCDefinitely! I'll be even more diligent about backing things up in the future though. I have to treat these machines as fleeting things, and prepare accordingly.

2021-02-16 09:59:56 +0000 UTCOof. Shouldnt have put it on the grill 🤷♂️ In all honesty: that's bad, but good that you could save all your projects and data. It would have been a big blow if you either lost progress or even old finished projects.
