Behind the scenes, on the surprise ant music video

Hello! You may have seen a new music video out from "my studio" the other day! If not, here it is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEfdkM89cQI

So where did this come from? Why haven't I posted about it here before, and also what studio?

I answer ALL of this in the video, but basically- I did not make this! My partner Zoë did (who is the OTHER half of the studio). Your support on here pays me to work on personal work full time, and golly gosh that's what I do!

But, a couple of months back Zoë took on this music video under our company umbrella- and while I worked on Patreon stuff in the day, I'd help out on this in the evenings.

So while I can't take credit for most of the video, now that it's out I can show you exactly what I did, and give you some insight into our production methods!

I’m clueless about compositing, so it’s really interesting seeing some of the mechanics behind it.

This was soo cool! I love these commentated process deconstruction

Ooooh very interesting! It always baffles me the sheer amount of "other" stuff that goes into a video, beyond the drawing and animating. Really neat to see you break it all down!

Lily Bryan

Those trumpet bees are my favourite! And the shadow on them? Exquisite. Well done both of you
