Mystery Time with M: Episode 1- The Mysterious Death of Elisa Lam

I'm so excited to finally be posting this!
If you don't know who Elisa Lam is, she's a young woman from outside Vancouver, Canada that went missing while on vacation in Los Angeles, California and was found in her hotels water tank about 2 and a half weeks after she was reported missing.
This is definitely not perfect (because i was a little nervous and talking and reading really fast, also the room I recorded in had a ton of echo but I'm going to soundproof this week to cut down on that) but S and I were so excited to record this so I hope you enjoy it. I'll be trying to soundproof and pace myself better in the next one so please be patient with me.
A few notes on the case:
We referenced two different things in this and I'm leaving them here so you can look at them:
1. The elevator video
2. Another angle of the water tanks on the roof
After we finished recording, we were both still super intrigued and kept looking up stuff and I actually looked up if a human being could die from just being in water and came across this educational website which led to believe she died from hypothermia. Her death happened in late January/early February in Los Angeles and the temp during the day in LA can be anywhere from 70-85 degrees. At night, it will drop and get around 60 degrees. So the water in the tank probably fluctuated from hot to very cold. I think she probably took her clothes off because they were heavy and she was trying to get out. According to that edu website I linked, she would've stayed alive anywhere from 2-40 hours in the water.

2020-05-14 02:04:16 +0000 UTCalmost certainly she was in the midst of an episode triggered by the cocktail of meds she was on and alcohol. seems from the video she was hearing voices that were giving instructions and inducing paranoia. amazing no one saw her or tried to help. the paranormal aspect is plausible. she would be quite vulnerable and the history of that hotel suggests it's tapped into some very nasty mojo. this was a very interesting listen. it was cool hearing you two logic through all the evidence, and hilarious how you could not let go the contaminated water and how gross. thanks! do more of this stuff. that was fun
