The social workers at the office were shocked when they found out Genie was 13 years old as she could barely walk or see and was half the size of other kids her age. I stumbled across the story of this little girl when I was bored at work one day and have literally thought back to her repeatedly since I learned of her existence because I really just hope she's happy wherever she is today.
