CHAPTER 3: FIND HER
Half dressed and drinking too much coffee they decided the first step to finding her was to describe her.
“Strawberry blonde hair”
“Yellow dress”
“Tall”
“How tall?”
“Taller than me,” Simone was 5’6”
“5’8”?”
“Taller, I noticed the woman at the gate was a bit taller than me and she towered over her.”
“Not 6 foot, she can’t be.”
“5’10” easy, maybe taller, and 400 pounds.”
“You are so far off, she was 600 pounds.”
“That’s impossible,” Simone knew it wasn’t impossible, they had shamefully watched fat-sploitation tv shows about people over 600 pounds.
“I’m telling you, to be as wide and round as she was, and to be 5’10” she’d have to be 600 pounds.”
“But she didn’t move like she weighed 600 pounds, she practically floated,” Simone put her arms out wide and spun around in the kitchen, knocking her wrist against the cabinets, realizing quite quickly that a woman this size wouldn’t fit in their tiny kitchen.
“Was she an hourglass would you say?”
“Do shapes like apple, pear, hourglass, even mean anything once you’re that big?”
“It’s still a ratio of bust-waist-hips measurements”
“Technically hourglass then, but only technically, god her belly was so huge.” Simone’s heart was fluttering, “what are we even doing, is this a missed connection ad?”
“We saw you couldn’t fit through a turnstile, please come to our tiny home?” Mel was suddenly very aware that their contented nature to live small was not going to help them in this endeavor.
“There’s 3 million people in this city.”
“If she’s even from this city, maybe she was only visiting.”
“But how many 5’10” 600 pound women could there be near here.”
“How many could there be on earth?”
“That’s it.”
“What’s it?” Mel looked at the text on her laptop as if it might reveal an answer.
Simone opened her laptop beside Mel, “you wouldn’t find a goddess like that on a mere mortal dating app.”
Mel looked over Simone’s shoulder as she typed, “FeedHer: The Dating Site for BBW’s and FAs?”
“Maybe not this one specifically, but I’m telling you, specialization is where we’ll find her, fat apps, fat forums, f-“
“FAT CLUB” Now Mel was typing and Simone was looking over her shoulder.
“The Caterpillar Club?”
“It’s nickname is the Hungry Caterpillar Club,” Mel blushed, “it’s a bar and nightclub for fat women and their… admirers. Down by the bay, like 90 minutes drive.”
“Have you been?”
Mel’s red face gave her away.
“But not since we’ve been together, right?”
“Oh GOD NO! This was when I was young and stupid and shy, I only went once and I didn’t talk to anyone, I just hovered awkwardly and left after a few drinks.”
“Were there many-“ Simone was intrigued, “fat women?”
“So many. Too many. I’ve got overwhelmed.”
“You only went once?”
“Well, it was just after that that we met.”
“Haha, oh no, I ruined your chances.”
“THERE”
“WHERE”
Mel was pointing at a photo on the Caterpillar Club social media, but Simone couldn’t make it out.
“Which one?”
“There, behind the short chubby queer couple.”
Simone looked closer, over the two women’s heads was a blonde head, and from behind enormous hips jutted out. There was a giant woman in the background of the photo, but Simone couldn’t tell if it was their giant woman.
“And another one,” Mel pointed at another blurred picture in the background, this time in spherical silhouette.
“This is so frustrating, if there was someone this gorgeous and gigantic, why wouldn’t you take their photo?”
“It looks like the club is pretty strict in respecting people’s photo wishes, maybe she’s shy.”
“Or maybe she wants to avoid creeps ogling at her photos on the internet.”
Simone and Mel looked at each other, they both blushed with a mixture of excitement and perversion.
Simone broke the silence, “wanna go clubbing?”
