Comicstorian 3.0

TLDR; Big Changes Coming, VERY good for you guys. All of these changes will be going into affect over July

First I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this Patreon over the last year and a half. This started as an experiment for us to see if this is something we could manage and while it's had it's ups and downs. I think overall its gone well. Now its time for the next Iteration of Comicstorian, which I'm dubbing Comicstorian 3.0, because I'm wholly unoriginal. What does this mean for Patreon? Well simple. You guys are our number 1 focus now.

But Benny? Weren't we before? 

Well, technically no. The structure of priority within the companies content pushes went. YouTube, Twitch, Patreon.

The reason for this isn't because we didn't appreciate you guys, it was because of the order in which we created our content. It was the way it was before Patreon was a thing and we never sat down and thought about it logistically. Comicstorian 3.0 is literally going to be the reverse. Patreon, Twitch & Youtube.

What this means EXACTLY is now we will be producing content for releases here, meaning you will get EVERY video 3 days early (Movies, events, topical things will still trump our schedule, but unless it falls into those, it'll go here.) Our company does need Patreon in order to survive long term, but I have never believed in giving us money to do what we already provide for free. So I want to adjust everything so you guys are getting something in return.

So all Complete Stories, Full Stories, Lists will go here 3 days in advance, since we produce those in advance. You'll also get some videos 6 months in advance as we'll be continually producing content even if we have to stop on YouTube for Algorithm. So some videos will come out here and not be released on YouTube for months. (Previously if we bumped it from the YouTube schedule, it didnt get made.)

Podcasts get a little trickier due to recording and ad deals, but I think we have figured out a good way to handle the Patreon versions. Comics Experiment, Comicstorian Weekly, CTV, 3 Beers and a Topic & Conspiracy Cast will come out closer to their YT releases. But here you will get the new ad versions and unedited versions. All the bloopers and flubs we cut out and only Twitch see's? Ya you are getting that here on Patreon now. Also, CTV is going to become our Movie show as well, we'll be watching older comic movies and seeing how they hold up.

Now, as for Patreon tiers. We'll be ending most of the current tiers to refresh the whole Patreon appearance and be able to promote as a new push. Anyone in the older tiers will be grand fathered in and we WILL honor them. If you want to swap tiers but retain older rewards, let us know. The biggest one I think this'll affect is the Movie night people. We saw a poor response to it in general. Combined with the difficulty of getting it off the ground, we're just going to be closing the tier out. We'll still be hosting the movie night for those who are already there(and yes, if you jump in now we wont be kicking you out). The giveaway tiers will need to be closed as well, due to the rules on Patreon. It falls into a gambling tier which required us to have multiple ways to win. Kind of defeated the purpose.

New Tiers (I took ideas from Kinda Funny, they said it coo, lol) Obviously, each tier includes the lower tiers. Also, these are the proposed new tiers. They are subject to change before it all goes live.

1 dollar Tier for general access to content, Thats not changing.

5 Dollar Tier will feature BTS Weekly (At least one, a week early from when it goes up on the Vlog Channel) Along with Discord access and set time each week someone from the team will be in Discord to chat (We realized the access is pointless if you never know when to find us.)

10 Dollar Tier will be our new Monthly Q and A show. It'll Actually become a Weekly Patreon Exclusive show. You ask questions, we'll answer them live on Twitch in a new show (Not Titled Yet) You can literally ask us anything weekly and we'll answer it on this show, then upload here for you guys. We'll also be asking you guys polls, opinions that kind of thing. So you get to participate in the show. Some of these segments will also go into the Comics Experiment weekly, bringing you to the main show.

15 Dollar Tier, All previous tiers, but we'll make a Eligible Monster Productions photo or art design, postcard and send it off to you signed. So you can also partake in our insanity. Patreon holders of this tier will also get to vote what it is we do. (Must hold it for 2 months to get the reward)

25 Dollar Tier Name in the credits of the episodes. We produce a LOT of content, we'll let the world know you want to support us and be known for it.

30 Dollar Tier (This is a hold every 2 or 3 month tier, we need to figure out the logistics) We'll be sending out a Comicstorian Box every time you hit the tier. This box will include one of our shirts (Which now rotate out of the store), some comics Benny has picked up over the months, swag we were able to find at Conventions in bulk and more. Think of it as a gift box from the Comicstorian and Eligible Monster team to you, as we get to know you a little better we'll try our best to customize each box.

50 Dollar Tier, Personalized Thank Yous from Benny monthly. 

100 Dollar Tier, There isn't anything we can really offer at this point. You really are helping us and we can see that. We appreciate you beyond anything we could show you.

250 Dollar Tier, Become a Patreon Producer, We'll personally thank you on every episode of the Comics Experiment or other public shows each week you hold this tier.

Now the reason I am announcing this beforehand is simply put. I want everyone reading this to give me your opinion on these changes and tiers. This is your time to tell me, I'm stupid, or this is too much, or those tiers suck. You are our Patreons, you stuck with us during all the experimenting and such and now its time to get your voices heard. Let us know what you want and Thank you again!
