He has to! Nicholas Cage is so in debt that he literally has to do everything. He can't say no. And even if he gets out of debt it is to the point where he said yes for so long he still can't say no to a movie.

They can own everything it just puts them under different rules that are much more strict. It's like Walmart. They will do whatever it takes to keep their competitors around because the moment they are gone they become a monopoly and have to follow a bunch of rules that would make them vastly less profitable.
