100 Patrons!
Added 2023-09-02 12:05:07 +0000 UTCAs my journey in 3D art continues, I've always been one to look at various milestones I've achieved along the way... and today, I've found that there is yet another one that I've reached; As of this month, I have officially broken the 100 patrons milestone, and for that, I cannot thank you all enough! <3
When I first started my patreon, I was kind of reluctant to do so, and hesitant. I did not know if I was going to be capable of entertaining people enough to make a patreon worthwhile, nor did I know if I was going to be able to spend enough time on it. Even though I had my patreon before, I knew that I wasn't a frequent uploader when I made my first (honestly, very childish and naive) attemp at running a patreon. With all of that in my mind, and the fact that I had a job, I didn't know just how much time I was going to have to create a successful patreon.
However, a few of my artist friends told me to go for it, and just give it another go. So two years ago, I set out to create the patreon that I have today, and experimented with various rewards. I wrote stories exclusive to patrons, I wrote my first comics, I tried to keep up production in such a way that I could show something new each day.
As some of you may know, I struggle with a combination of autism and PTSD in real life, and because of that, I've never been able to work a fulltime job. But as you slowly started to arrive at my Patreon, I started to see an opportunity for myself, to earn extra income and perhaps, one day, completely sustain myself from my 3D art alone. Slow and steady, I started to gain more patrons, and with it, I was able to afford more and more. I've now gotten to a point where my life is extremely different from where it was two years ago, and it's all thanks to you, as my supporters. For that, I cannot thank you enough.
Since I started, I've been able to quit the part-time job I had, and focus fulltime on my 3D. Not only that, but you have all managed to expand my software licenses as well. Thanks to all of you, I can pay the licensing fees for the programs I need to invest back into 3D; From the adobe creative suite to programs such as Zbrush. But even in real life, you have all made a huge difference.
It started last year, when I was able to buy a brand new RTX 3080 graphics card thanks to your kindness and generosity. I upgraded my RAM, and created a computer that can handle most of what I throw at it. This once again came to improve my renders even further, all thanks to you all. But it doesn't stop there; Thanks to everyone, I've been able to afford my very first car, allowing me more freedom and ease of transport than ever before. And even with those added costs added to my living expenses, I still find myself able to save for a trip I've been wishing for since I was a teen. For the first time in my life, I have certainty that I can afford a trip to Japan, a trip I'm very excited to make next year. It's not an understatement when I say; You are all making my dreams come true.
What is next? Of course, as you would expect, I'm going to continue doing my best to create as much 3D art as I possibly can. Commissions are, and have been open for a while, and I feel like for the first time, they are now truly taking off. I will still create my own ideas as well obviously, and I know that there are still plenty of things where I can improve. It's currently high on my bucket list to start learning to create my own clothing, and create my own environments for future renders, and to continue improving my sculpting abilities. I want to keep improving, and offer the best GTS content I can provide. I also want to continue exploring the tales from my fantasy world Evelaire with all of you through my comics, and create more adventures of tinies within this world, that I'm very eager for all of you to read and enjoy.
As always, there are still so many things for me to do, and so little time to do it in. But I wanted to close this post off by saying what I always say; thank you for your support. I truly mean that. You don't know half just how much it means to me that there are 100 of you willing to give me something each month to support my work, and I cannot thank you all enough for it. Your kindness is allowing me so much more than I ever could, and I am beyond thankful. Seriously, Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for making my dreams come true <3
All the love in the world, Thank you all so much! <3
