Wanna Party With Us?

We want to say thank you to you Patrons, so we were thinking about throwing you a party at our house.

How many of you would be able to make it to the party?

There would be food, drinks, spiky hair, music, (Abney Park might even be able to play you a couple songs), you could tour the studio, etc.

What do you think?  Do you live close enough to come, or are you willing to make the trip?  Let us know.

Location: our home, 45min south of Seattle in Gig Harbor, Washington State, USA

Date: tell me what might work for you, and we’ll pick the date most of you have in common.

Comments

We will! Date is not yet set, but I’m think later this month, or next month.

Abney Park

So... Is there a consensus? Are we party, if so when?

Alex Stone

Depends on when I could get away form work & make the drive to Washington!

Chaia Joblin

Available most weekend, would need at least advance warning so I could arrange travel from Seattle down.

Troy J Anderson

We'd love to come but it's hard to plan things for the next few months. Mid-October might work if we can swing it.

Becky Brooks

That would be a dream come true! I should be able to make it any time.

Maya Jones

alas tis the wrong coast. but when I can afford to go to Dragoncon in a few years I want you to be there!

Jessica Bradshaw

Today!

Abney Park

When is the best time of year to enjoy the good weather there?

Micheal R Meyer

PFD is permanent fund dividend. Each Alaskan citizen gets a check in October from dividends earned from investments made from oil field profits. It can be as small as a couple hundred dollars or as large as a few thousand. This year is going to be somewhere between 900 and 3000. Our state Gov is fighting over how much it is going to be.

Bobbie

I would be interested, but that would depend on where the party was happening.

Mattig89ch

I would like to, but a little far from Buffalo, NY.

Philip Stevens

We would be traveling in from MN, so it will depend on our ability to get time off. The week of 9/23 or the week of 10/7 will work. Otherwise as far out as possible and/or on a Saturday night.

Mickie Erickson

I am just moving to Seattle in September, and could absolutely make it! Late September, and on a weekend are probably my best options.

Matthew Winslow

If it's a Saturday evening I will free up whatever i have going on to attend.

Tiffany Green

Love the idea! A bit far from Poland though :/

Jan

Unfortunately, it's be quite the trek from Ontario (Canada, not California) to Gig Harbour - but the last party with you guys (at the Grand Canadian Steampunk Exposition, Niagara-on-the-Lake) was wonderful! Fingers crossed that we cross paths again one day.

Ataraxian Life

Saturdays always seem to work best for us :)

Matt and Lissy Poisso

This would be spectacular! My wife and I would love this as either a New Years event or just a evening to party! Please keep us informed and we would love to come!

Chris Cook-Sussan

Love the idea. I won't be able to make it from Michigan, as money is tight at the moment. I'm fully capable of living vicariously through any pics you post of the event, though. Maybe livestream some portion (maybe a song or two if you do end up playing, or a group "Hi! Wish you were here!" if you don't) for the patrons who can't attend?

Jeff Mussen

That would be really great! Best times for me would be Fri/Sat evenings starting mid-August, except for Labor Day weekend. Really looking forward to it!

Lawrence Lavigne

This sounds amazing.

Kathleen Hill

I hear ya. Me neither.

Abney Park

Sadly, I am unable to afford travel from Chicago to Washington, as much as I would love to attend

Liam O’hUlachain

Any non-Sunday after August

Gargoyle

I wish ... but being in London (UK) might make the prospect rather more costly than even for our friend in Anchorage! When are you going to come over and play in the UK again?

Simon 'Landmine'

I’m afraid I don’t know what a PFD is.

Abney Park

Provided Kristina approves, of course

Diane McRae-Hardin

Oh, Yes Please! P 0arty on New Years Eve and the concert. P

Diane McRae-Hardin

GODS I would LOVE to make it to a party like that. I'm out in CA and to broke to travel most times :(

Jennifer Townsend

I would do everything in my power to make that work. Flights/drive/hotel cost pending of course

Phill The Thrill Gribben

Candie already replied for me, she keeps the social calendar.

Chad

Maybe if we get our full pfd I can go..lol. 3000 per person is a lot of air fare lol.

Bobbie

As much as I would love to come, I think I live too far away (an hour north of Anchorage, AK). I would really enjoy meeting all of you but I dont think I can swing it. Thank you for thinking of us though!

Bobbie

New Years gives me time to plan 😊

Kevin Kane

Sadly I would love to attend in either situation but lack funds due to medical issues

Allen Smith

Okay, so just brainstorming: We’ll be playing a New Years Eve concert in Seattle. What if we had a party the night before, so you could go to both? Kristina might veto that as too much work, but what do you think?

Abney Park

Oh but I definitely want to just hang out and meet you guys and I would absolutely LOVE the studio tour. Just a little harder to justify the trip to the money gods (and fiancé) if there isn’t a show to go along with it.

Phill The Thrill Gribben

“A full concert” in our relatively small studio would be too long, I think.

Abney Park

Labour Day at Abney Park?

Alex Stone

For me it is day of week, I would say a Saturday is easier for traveling since Friday night traffic getting to Gig Harbor and dealing with Ft Lewis and Tacoma traffic is difficult.

Candie Kohler

Being as I'm in Tacoma, I don't think distance is a problem for me. It'll depend on the date. I'll check my calendar

Ed Mattison

Hum. That sounds more like you’d enjoy just coming to a concert. A full concert on a stage with a huge sound system is going to beat being one of 30 people crammed into our recording studio.

Abney Park

Some time in first three weeks of September would be awesome.

Alex Stone

Our home in GIg Harbor. It’s about 45 minutes south of Seattle.

Abney Park

I unfortunately live in Texas and can't make it myself. *sad panda*

Sean McClelland

I would be VERY interested in trying to come: I’ve been saying to a friend that the next time you do something like this I want to try and go. It would be a bit difficult, being up here in Canada. I would need LOTS of notice. (Time off work, budget, book flights....renew passport) But I think I would only end up making the trip if there was a full concert to go along with it.

Phill The Thrill Gribben

Any date range work better for you? We’ll probably pick the dates most people have in common.

Abney Park

Dependent on date, I could.

Jo Louie

Depending on date, I would be able to attend.

Candie Kohler

Just depends on the date.

Chad

If I had the money to come out to Seattle, I would totally love a party! Sadly, I live in Rochester NY, and had no such money.

Luna Walter

Location?

Alex Stone

I live far too far away. Otherwise I would be there in a hot minute!
