NEW SONG, FREE JUST FOR YOU: BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES!

I mean, I always love this music...that's why I write it this way...but I just can't stop listening to this infectious, fun, and joyous album! (hum...maybe the term "infectious" isn't the best choice of words!)
Anyway, we are still a ways off from releasing this album, but I'm going to leak some of the songs to you guys. Heres the SECOND song I'm giving you from this album (The Jynxed was the first track I gave you, last month I think?)
This song is called "Battened Down the Hatches". I wrote it a couple months ago, but I'll be damned if the lyrics font feel MORE relevant now, then when I wrote it!

We have a lot of different fans, and different sounds, and everyone wants something different, so there is going to be variety. I get angry “fan mail” if the song sounds like older songs (“this is too derivative!”) and I get “I only like your early stuff!” And I get “I only liked your goth stuff”, and I get “I only like your silly stuff”, and I get “I only like the emotional stuff.” And I get “I really like the modern stuff like Work Hard”. To keep everybody happy, I’ve got to have a mix of sounds...which honestly is how I am most happy. Frankly, I only like the new stuff and wish people would quit “complimenting” me by telling me how I much they “hated this one album”. If you like a song, just say that. Leave the negativity behind.

"Under the floor, above the wall" was the first album by you folks that I didn't like at all. "Crash" met my personal taste better again, but it still isn't exactly one I really love. But this song here, that's magic again! I love it!
