What would you like to see from the Abney Park Patreon?

What's something you would like to see from the Abney Park Patreon in 2023?Its always such a challenge to find great perks, as you patrons tend to have all the music already. But maybe you can help me brainstorm?

Free music downloads?

Short Stories set in our steampunk universe?

Our musical, released as a radio drama series?

New Audio Books, released as a radio drama series?

Previous Audio Books released as a radio drama?
(Maybe you all haven't heard them yet?)

Free live events, just for you?
(This couldn't be live concerts, as our musicians get paid more each then Patreon pays us. But there are other fun things like meet & greets, interviews, book readings, album listens with the band, etc.)

...or do you have some ideas of your own? Maybe you subscribe to some other artists that do great perks, that we need to know about? Let us know in the comments.

You have previous audio books? I have Giants of Iron and Steam so if there are more then I'm very interested.

Lisa Bearsley

I'd love it if you could make full audiobooks of your novels. I understand you can't finish the previous "Audio Drama" version because some of the actors are no longer in contact, but a new version would be amazing, whether with a full cast, our just yourself narrating.

Live rehearsals can be fun, but you really only have to do 2 or 3 songs, or maybe one of your impromptu covers, LOL. But I get it if 'perform' means 'paid' to the band ha ha. Or even just you and Kristina doing some piano-accompanied stuff. A while back you were doing readings from your book series. I'd take more of those from the other two books.

Terence

I definitely support this proposal. English is not my native language, and although I understand it well enough to listen to podcasts and news, for some reason the songs do not work so well.

Pavel Kumeysha

"I'll ask band members about that. Its not hard to do, but I think the musicians keep talking me out of it. I dont think they want anyone to see them mess up!" - That's part of the fun! 😇

Anja

The short stories would be very interesting!

I really enjoy works-in-progress/behind the scenes stuff. A few years back you and one of your daughters (please forgive me that I forgot which) sang Ho Ho Ho together, that was really awesome, and I'd LOVE to get more things like that.

I originally signed up at the Gold level (or was it Silver? Either way...) because I thought live streamed practice sessions would be fun to watch. Never did see one of those come across the feed and eventually downgraded. I would upgrade again if that became a reality.

Lori D

I would say keep up the Free Music and do short stories

Silver Fox

The musical, released as a radio drama series. Would be cool! Lyric sheets, and Introspectives are always cool too.

Tammy

Clockwork Cortisone is my fave!

Tammy

Written lyrics. I'm hard of hearing and not sure I'm singing the right words

Diane McRae-Hardin

I loved that album listening party you did a while back. The stories and ideas behind the making of and the songs was aces.

Tora

Free music! You guys are a band, after all. Alternative versions of the songs are good.

David Newport

I think I have most of your music on CD at this point. Short stories in your steampunk universe or audio books (either previous or new) would be awesome in my book.
