Illustrations From The New Abney Park Novel, Forsaken Valley
Added 2023-03-01 23:45:53 +0000 UTCOkay, I've spent the last two weeks illustrating the new novel! Since it's a paper back, it'll have B&W illustrations inside, so I thought I'd share with you guys high res color versions of the art.
As many of you know, I've done photoshop illustration for years and years. Decades, actually. I did a lot of the illustrations in the Airship Pirates RPG, all our album art (but one), all our book covers, posters, etc. I even worked at Disney a long time ago, and used to do movie marketing (I did the Golden Compass, The Mummy III, Sweeny Todd, and about a billion other movies.)
This technique I'm using for these is: photoshop+stock art+digital hand painting+filters...even some photography of stuff I got here in the house. Soooo many layers!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this taste of the flavor of my new novel. This is only about half the illustrations, as I wanted to avoid too many spoilers, but this should get your excited, while explaining "Steampunk Post Apocalypse Western"...
...Wasteland Western? (ooo, better trademark that! haha)
