Twilight's attempts to reconnect with her friends after six years apart have not gone well so far: Applejack is a violent vigilante following the losses of her farm and family while Rainbow Dash is a wingless courier who spends all of her money on drinking to salve the pain of how she lost her wings and dreams. When Fluttershy pulls up to the tavern in a glittering bejeweled carriage, however, Twilight hopes this means that at least one of her friends is doing well in her new life.
