But that wasn't the case for the rest of the town, because from the moment I came out I was ostracized. I was put in a different ward than the other babies and no nurse really wanted to look after me, which my dad caused more than one fight with the staff over. But, I don't really blame them, the town was one of the most religious in the country, had more churches than stores, and that made them superstitious.
