I mean that’s definitely real bad and worthy of cutting ties as soon as you can, but if they made up some excuse like “the airline had a ticketing problem” you can just bite your tongue and not make a public incident that aggravates the relationship while you are still a dependent.

2024-09-13 13:05:44 +0000 UTCThe fact that the entire family forgot about their 3rd and youngest child over the course of 6 months but random Facebook/Instagram commentors immediately notice their absence tells me that the exclusion was deliberate and if she brought it up, she would be berated for doing so. This is to say nothing about the absolute refusal to own up to their shit. I really do hope that she never sees them again after she turns 18+ and gets some sort of stability outside of them. What a bunch of assholes.

It could absolutely just be that you feel inadequate, especially if you try and be exciting for them and then are told you're coming up short.
