it such a shame they censored it as it would add so much to the story luckily they leave enough hits to see how deep their bond is

2019-12-31 20:53:54 +0000 UTCThere is so much depth and layers to this story and I know the Donghua is barely touching since they are skipping parts of the story. I love the subtle little "tells" they put in to let you know that Lan Wanji know exactly who Mo Xuanyu is. Granted Wei keeps giving himself away. The part where they are talking about the measuring snakes and Wei Ying mentions a past night hunt, Lan Wangji gives him a side ways glance. In the novel they actually give us the full story of that night hunt and there is some really good content there in regards to the characters. As you mentioned the playing WanXian during that moment when Lan Wanji is talking about his investigation into the ulcerated curse and Wei Ying, add a subtle touch showing his feelings towards Wei. "The Untamed" seems to cover more content from the novels, except the BL elements due to censorship but the chemistry between the male leads that play Lan Wanji (Wang Yi Bo) and Wei Ying (Xiao Zahn) makes it clear there is a strong connection between the characters.

Next year we get a chibi animation, which I'm not quite sure what it'll be about exactly but yeah. You'll get some answers this season though! Like what happens to Wen Ning and Jiang Yanli :) Looking forward to those episodes.
