Looking Forward

Hey everyone!

As This Quest is Bullshit! comes to an end and Dungeon Devotee picks up, I want to take a moment and talk about the future of this patreon.  My original plan for Dungeon Devotee was to build up a backlog of 16 chapters before posting 1-6 publicly and keeping the remaining ten back for patreon.  Once that backlog was complete, the story would've moved to a monthly upload schedule while I worked on another project offline.

It has become clear I'm not going to hit that 16 chapter target before it comes time to start posting to royalroad.  This is the result of a few factors, but ultimately comes down to chapter length.  Dungeon Devotee chapters have repeatedly wound up longer than I intended.  They just take longer to write.

My new immediate goal is 11 chapters, six for royalroad and five for patreon.  I'm going to change the pricing to $1 per advance chapter, so all five of those starting patreon chapters will be available at the $5 tier.  As a note, this is half as many chapters than you had during TQIB, but because Dungeon Devotee chapters average over three times as long, you're getting more early content per dollar that before.

For those of you at the $10 tier, don't worry.  Come the story's official launch in a few weeks, the public release and the $1, $3, and $5 tiers will all be on the same monthly release schedule, while the $10 tier will continue to receive new chapters once a week until it too hits that 1-chapter-per-dollar mark, plus a bonus chapter or two as a thank you for your patience.

Since, once Dungeon Devotee is off the ground, I'll be working on other books offline, I'm moving up the free ebooks to the $5 tier.  Everyone at that tier or above will a free copy of every book I write before it's available to the public.
