The final day of the trade deadline (Notebook drop)

We didn’t see any league winners come out of the final day of the trade deadline, but we did see a lot of small move with small fantasy impacts. Here’s how I’ve updated my projections (for now).

Atlanta moved a few mid wings and brought in a few mid wings. De’Andre Hunter moving to Cleveland decreases the value of his best category (scoring). The shots just won’t be there, so I’ve lowered his FGA. LeVert and Niang going to Atlanta should give them a few more minutes with Bogdanovic also out of Atlanta. I don’t think Mann and Hyland has any value in Atlanta unless an injury / shutdown happens. Risacher should see a few more shot attempts, so I’ve upped his scoring a touch.

If Bogdanovic can get healthy he has a nice role off the bench in LA, but he’d still be on the fringes for fantasy.

Nurkic going to Charlotte puts a cap on Diabaté’s minutes. Does Charlotte have an incentive to play Nurkic big minutes or will it be a time share? I’ve projected a 50/50 split for now until we get a better idea of who starts when both guys are active. Micic and Martin traded solidifies extra minutes for guys like Nick Smith and KJ Simpson. Have upped their minutes.

Davion Mitchell traded to Miami opens up some minutes at PG for Sheed. Have upped Sheed’s minutes.

Smart and LaRavia moving out of Memphis solidifies minutes for Wells, GG etc. but nothing major.

Washington didn’t bring in a rotation worthy big man at the deadline, so keep an eye on their starting lineups over the next few games. We’re looking at Sarr playing a bigger role on offense (do they start him at C?). Am keeping an eye on how the C minutes are distributed between Vukcevic, Holmes, and... Len (?), so watch this space.

I'm not sure what to make of Schroder going to Detroit. It's a good NBA fit, but shouldn't have any fantasy impact. I've projected him for 24 minutes, but I'm likely wrong.

I'll make more adjustments once I get more time to digest it all, and will start working on an update of my dynasty rankings over the weekend.
