New show slot soon so get your recommendation in!
Added 2020-04-10 11:02:15 +0000 UTCYou finish next week so I need a new live-action show so get a suggestion in, I might do a poll to gauge interest but I like to leave the final decision with me.
If you've watched me for a while you may know why but in most cases the same type of show tends to win, I like to keep things varied on the channel example did poll once and Dark lost but I still wanted to do it and end up loving it.
So leave a suggestion below plus if you leave a reason why I may like it can help me narrow down to :)
No Sci-fi as I got 2 already for when The Expanse Finishes or anime as they have their own slots

Netflix has a way better description than I could give to explain the premise of this show which is "After seven years in prison, a male stripper is unexpectedly granted a retrial. Released on parole, he hunts for proof that he was framed for murder." It really keeps you on your toes trying to figure out who did it and it's something that I think you might enjoy.

2020-04-12 18:40:34 +0000 UTCIf you want a spy thriller (barely sci fi) that's a combination of "Dark" and "Lost" then watch "Counterpart". It's led by JK Simmons and is a fantastic show. It was suppose to run for 3 seasons but alas did not get renewed after 2 seasons due to low ratings. The writers however managed to patch things up to cram as much S3 stuff and give it a proper send off (kind of like S3 Expanse ending). Considering our current Coronavirus predicament, it's very very relatable. If you like "Berserk" the anime, then the closest live action equivalent is "Banshee". It's led by Anthony Starr (Homelander from The Boyz), it's a crazily fun show. The only problem is that, it's beyond graphic, kind of like Berserk. So if you want an insanely addicting story, with incredible characters, this is the show. The only problem is that due to its insane level of graphic violence and sex, it's a turn off for many. If you're in the mood for a period piece. I suggest "Deadwood" which is led by the incredible Ian Mcshane. It depicts the foundation of the actual town of Deadwood during the gold rush. Taking real life figures, adding some new characters and then you get this incredible down and gritty western that sounds Shakespearean due to David Milch's incredible dialogues. If western isn't your thing then you can watch its sister show "Rome" which chronicles the rise of Julius Caesar and then the rise of his nephew Augustus as the GOAT emperor of Rome. Deadwood is 36 episodes spread into 3 seasons + TV movie finale. Rome is 2 seasons at 22 episdoes. If you're in the mood for mafia / gangster shows. We got "Gomorrah" , basically the Sopranos in actual Italy, this show is from the perspective of the various bosses vying for power in the modern era of being a mafioso. If you want a show that's focused from a single player's perspective (kind of like a real life GTA tv series) then there's the excellent Romanian show called "Umbre", where a single low ranking mobster rises up in power. Gomorrah is 4 seasons at 48 episodes, while Umbre clocks in for 3 seasons at 21 episodes. Both good choices. These choices are less mainstream with barely anybody reacting to them. Either way can't go wrong with any of them. Cheers mate.

2020-04-10 11:07:34 +0000 UTCHannibal the TV series On the plus side it’s quite short, only about 3 seasons but it’s very surprising. Its a really intricate story and Features really deep and complex characters and in my opinion some of the best cinematography and acting on TV. Its based heavily off the Tom Harris novels but is its own breed altogether :) Also another one I have is Barry, just started watching it myself and it’s been a great time! Bill Hader is fantastic.
