Chuck’s growth will be an iceberg speed and not until season 5 really. Unfortunately, not until a couple painful things happen to him until he realizes it. But boy it’s entertaining to watch his character!

I agree completely! Chuck used Blair’s love and compassion for him for his own selfish agenda. Broke the trust they build after Blair’s speech breach and Chuck’s B/S elevator trapping. After all Blair has done for him emotionally, she became his rock and foundation as he strived to become a better person. This is the third time Jack has come between these two. First sleeping with Blair(I think he knew exactly who she was to Chuck when doing so, if he read GG he would know) and after the Will reading maneuvering Chuck away from Blair setting him up to look bad in front of board and Blair. Knowing she was his rock he destroyed there bond and took control of the company. He definitely knows how to play this game well. This episode broke my heart especially Chuck’s reaction after the slap. The first true emotional glimpse of what just transpired and what he lost. Great acting from Leighton and Ed! The only episode that never fails to tear me up.

I was so shocked when I first watched this episode that Chuck literally traded Blair for a hotel. What makes it worse is that throughout the episode he kept hammering home how he’ll never get over losing his hotel, pretty much manipulating Blair into going to Jack. Such a disappointing and frustrating decision, he deserved that slap from Blair and more.
