That moment at the end when the first OP from season on starts playing...it got me. What nice call back bringing us full circle. What I LOVE about Haikyuu is that Furdate has kept the story, the characters fresh. nothing feels repeated. And you can tell he loves and understands the game of Volleyball. Even four seasons in we keep getting new types of plays and the audience keeps learning new things about the game. Honestly, Haikyuu is a masterclass in writing, story and character development. PS. If you want a "short" 23 episode sports anime that had the same kind of masterful writing and captures the same kind of emotions as Haikyuu I HIGHLY recommend Run with the Wind.
