GOD COMPLEX (TM) could have a sales platform, if we can get it made...

A long time ago I had an idea; what if there was a god game that mixed the dollhouse play style of The Sims, the adaptive body creation of Spore, and the human-desire problem solving of a dating sim all together? And what if it was a game about an actual god/dess?

I called the idea GOD COMPLEX. In it you awaken as an ancient deity who has shrunk down to a small statue through the ages of lost belief and worship. You've been bought at an antique store and now you groggily awaken in your new home; an apartment complex.

You can hear the desires of the nearby tenants, and with your initially limited remaining powers you try and help them; maybe a sexuality tweak here, a boost of an inch or two there. As more and more people come to believe something is helping them achieve their desires your abilities and pool of Belief Points grow and become more complex.

Someone wants the attention of someone else? Share knowledge of their interests. Or adjust body types to meet preferences. Or maybe one of them is interested in art, and the other would look great as a statue.

Someone overwhelmed with work? Change them from an anxious person to a calm person. Or give them extra arms to handle more tasks. Or let them lay golden eggs so they don't need to worry about a job.

The process of granting requests and growing your followers is up to you.

Now, while I could happily write and lightly code the desires and match-ups needed to keep GOD COMPLEX interesting, I severely lack the ability to 3D model or code to the level needed to make this game as I envision it. I'd need to partner or hire a game developer. And honestly, I didn't think I or the Patreon would ever make enough to make such a complicated game (far more complicated than the other adult games I know of on Patreon) for such a niche genre and audience.

But now Steam has announced that they'll sell anything, and I honestly believe that a tamer version of GOD COMPLEX could actually sell as a general audience game, with adult add-ons as extra DLC. This is important, because while I would want my Patrons to get to play the game we're working on, the real money for a developer's time investment would come from a broader sales platform. And Steam could provide that.

So, now's the time. Do you know of game coders looking for a project? Someone who may know a little about how to do what I've described? Get the word out, send me contacts to reach out to, and maybe GOD COMPLEX could be something we'll all be playing one day!
