Some time ago I discovered a book called GODS BEHAVING BADLY. I'm pretty sure I stumbled across it using Google Books to try and find fiction involving transformations. It's a frustrating search process, but it has turned up some golden wins here and there (sometimes literally). Sometimes I have to really dig into the text to figure out why some books have come up, but this one got to the point pretty quick;

And a little later...

I swiftly ordered the book, and it is on the shelf as part of the Transformeum. Now I haven't finished reading it yet beyond that first chapter, but Amber has and really enjoyed it.
So when I learned that they made a movie adaptation, and saw on IMDB a picture of Edie Falco talking to a tree (see above) and that Robin Weigert (see below) was credited as "Vicky the Tree" I got very excited.

But then I learned that apparently the film is considered so bad that it was shelved indefinitely. I mean, what? Not even a DVD release? Christopher Walken as Zeus must be worth watching! I mean, even Peter Pan Live! is on DVD!
I searched for pirated copies, but as of yet I have found nothing. It looks like the GODS BEHAVING BADLY film is buttoned up pretty tight.
In the meantime, though, I can say that I am pleased to have the book on my shelf, and look forward to reading all of it at some point. I know Amber has recommended it.
