May Need To Adjust A Reward
Added 2019-02-26 18:37:44 +0000 UTCHowdy All,
We're approaching the end of February and we are currently under the goal needed to keep Myth Trials going. #6 has already had its pencils approved and will still post as soon as I get colors from Billy One Dollar.
Sadly we are only now getting to the transformations of the comic, and I certainly want to see those. And I also don't want to risk cancelling a month and potentially losing our place in Billy's queue, as his talent appears to be more and more in demand.
Right now I can gap the small difference needed to pay him, but that won't last long. And I don't want to introduce a slippery slope. I have to figure out a way to deal with this that is fair to both my bill paying responsibilities, and your generosity.
This is my idea right now. Presuming we don't see a bigger drop, Myth Trial #6 and #7 will post as normal this month and next month under the $5 tier. But if we fail to meet the goal by the end of March I will have to make Myth Trial pages #8, 9, and 10 exclusive to the $10+ tiers as a reward for that extra donation.
If we meet the goal by the end of March we'll keep Myth Trial at the $5 tier and stay there for as long as the goal sticks. If we fail to meet the goal by #10 I will most likely have to put Myth Trial on hiatus.
This may sound like an odd plan, but I'm trying to find a fair way to do this. I don't want to ask you, my current readers, for more - I appreciate the generosity you're all already showing. What I really want this to do is to stimulate a little promotion by us all. If we got 8 more people to join us at the $5 level we'd all get to keep everything as it is.
And if we bring in more people beyond that then we could find more rewards for all of us.
Of course, if anyone is able to give more I won't complain, and will always do what I can to make sure you feel like you're getting your value's worth.
I'm certainly open to everyone's thoughts on the matter. I always want this venture to be to the benefit of everyone!
Thanks for reading,
~dS
P.S. For those who don't recall, or would like something to share when sharing the link to this Patreon, this is the story pitch for what Myth Trial is poised to be;
When a New York attorney finds a genie, she at first uses her wishes to clear house and assure her grip over the law practice. However, she soon realizes that if genies exist maybe other "myths" do as well. Stretching the genie's powers, she turns her attention to righting the wrongs done to ancient figures Medusa, Daphne, Arachne, and others. But will the gods who cast those old sentences be so keen to see their "justice" overturned?
