"The wormhole is touching the star. It's touching the star." "I have no prayer for that." Wormholes as weapons are a terrifying idea. This John is the real John as far as the Talyn crew is concerned. Everything that happened, happened with him. Their John is dead. And because this is Farscape, nothing is going to magic away these experiences. All of these characters will forever be impacted by these events. And man, even though there is another John out there, this death hits so hard, every time. Still makes me tear up.

2021-09-27 07:30:32 +0000 UTCI'd forgotten how awesome this two parter is! I've only watched it a couple of times because it's so damn sad. Yeah we've got a spare John, but arguably this is the better John. He got a lot of positive character growth. Our other John is increasingly obsessed with wormholes, always at odds with the rest of the crew, struggling to find his purpose and still has Harvey floating around in his head. Without Aeryn as his guiding star (as Talyn John put it) he's definitely much more unstable! Although I do love crazy John and Harvey 😆

Just like there are no “original “ twins, just separate individuals that share the DNA and grow up with different experiences. You’re right, the other John has none of the same experiences so it will be interesting to see everyone reacting to each other. The person I feel the saddest for is Aeryn. She was really starting to blossom and now her love was just ripped away from her.
