Yi City is my favorite arc, Xue Yang my favorite character... the entire story is so heart-wrenching. Xue Yang was treated... horribly as a young child and it screwed him up. And then his worst enemy showed him kindness and he slowly let go of his "rascal" ways to just live domestically in Yi City, doing mundane things and he was so happy until it got ruined. And he acted out because he was losing what he cared most about (Xiao Xingchen) and it ended in XXC killing himself. Xue Yang spent like... 8 yrs trying to bring him back. I truly feel if XY had just come clean to XXC about who he really is, this could've all been avoided but for obvious reasons, he didn't exactly see that as an option. ugh, my heart...
