The scene with Barney and his dad is so well written and Neal did a great job with the acting. If I understood it well, Loretta only demanded Jerome to stay out of Barney's life because of his crazy lifestyle back then. Barney did call him crazy when talking about him to Robin back in the museum episode (the night he found out that his oncle Jerry was actually his father). I'm not saying she was right to tell Jerome to leave but as a young mother, she probably wanted to protect Barney. The character development for Barney is really well done in the storyline. Second episode is a mixed one for me. Don't like Lilly running away and then back and pretending. I love that she supports Marshall, and this new career path is great for him, but I agree with you, they need, and especially Lilly, to communicate better... Graduation goggle are totally a thing 🤣🤣 also, I love that song but ever since that episode I can't take it seriously anymore... That story Robin told... she should be a writer... 😨😨😨 Great reactions, your laugh is very contagious 😂😂😂

I don’t however think it’s necessarily healthy to agree on everything, because it seems a bit fake (as Lily actually was a bit…) But being supportive of one’s partner is crucial, and that’s where Lily did good (she just should have shared her worries with Marshall as well as supporting him!) But Zoey actively trying to sabotage Ted’s work and life-long dream is so unhealthy. How would that not be an absolutely dealbreaker? I do still like Zoey’s character. And it is not a bad thing to challenge your partners opinions, as long as you respect that you disagree😅 But again, there’s a huge difference to disagree on a taste of movies and having different interests and then to not share any values…

I too get emotional when Barney Said that if he was going to be a lame suburban dad why couldn’t he had been that to him😢Really good acting and script!👏🏼 The actor that plays Barney’s father is the same actor who played the “Trinity Killer” in Dexter season 4. It was so weird for me seeing him playing this character because I found him absolutely terrifying in Dexter. Like seriously nightmares😬
