It's the only season I regularly rewatch in full. Like I love the rest of the show but it's my top tier for reasons

Hmm... the humor just wasn't for me in that episode with Marshall (and Lilly). It was all to silly somehow and the delivery was weird, something was just off. And the effect of breaking the 4th wall were misplaced imo, it didn't work... I agree that it is clearly a redemption arc for the dad, and it's needed for a sitcom. But it is actually not that far fetched even though it's ofc exaggerated. But gamling addiction is a very serious sickness that ruins many lifes and families. It is a huge toppic for debate in Denmark right now. Some betting commercials are being illegal and such...
