Everyone is in love with Irene Adler, that is just facts.
She is such an intriguing and interesting character and the dynamic she has with Sherlock is so new for the show. Like the comment above, it's interesting to see Sherlock using science to interpret feelings.
Ms HUDSON is a queen and I love how caring the boys are with her, both in their own ways, Sherlock hurting the guy who dared hurt her by throwing him out the window several times, and John taking care of her going full doctor mode. We love Ms Hudson.
Molly, bless her, getting her heart shattered on Christmas day twice... once when Sherlock was so rude and mean (so glad she called him out on it) and second time when she realised why Sherlock recognised Irene's body and what it implied...
Mycroft actually cares for Sherlock (they're just both too stubborn), we see it several times this episode, when he tells John he can't leave Sherlock alone after finding out about Irene's death, then the lie about her bring in America at the end.
And of course, still my favourite part of the show is how John and Sherlock bicker and interact with each other.
John saying "I always hear punch me in the face while you're talking" never gets old😂 just like "I had bad days!!!"
Also John should wear a t-shirt saying "I’m not Sherlock's boyfriend",would help with not having to say it all the time 😆😆
But what Irene said is so telling when John said "I'm not gay" and she replied "I am" and well, she still fell for Sherlock so John could too 😌
I really enjoyed this reaction and can't wait for the next one.

This is my kind of episode😜
At this point this was my favourite episode so far. I love all the psychological Things. The emotions, everything. Glad you liked it! And I do understand that it could feel like a long episode (it is long haha), and it was slow paced at times. But in this instance the slow paced scenes were my favourites.
Molly🥰 oh poor girl, she’s so in love. I LOVE that she told him that he always says mean things. And it was very clear that Sherlock actually felt really bad.
Though he’s often ignorant towards others feelings he still has feelings and we see how sensitive he actually is.
As you said he’s such a baby sometimes. He and Mycroft arguing like childish brothers. They are both so stubborn.
Sherlock and John’s relationship is so good too. It’s so nice to see Sherlock having a friend. Though John was there from the first episode it was still made clear that Sherlock doesn’t usually have any friends.
The connection between him and Irene is really interesting for his character too. It’s interesting to see how he’s not able to decipher his own feelings. He looks surprised and confused when they are “flirting”. Like he doesn’t know what’s going on and/or doesn’t know how it makes him feel. And his reaction to being confused is to look at the science - checking her pulse etc. He can’t understand it so he tries to analyse it. Very interesting to see.
This show is by far my favourite adaptation of Sherlock Holmes! The depth of his character is the best. So much more than an “high functioning sociopath” - he’s a sensitive genius. That’s a take I love!
Mycroft’s comment about Sherlock being so intelligent that he could have the highest of jobs, but however choose to “just” be a consulting detective is interesting!
And I really liked the look on Mycroft’s face when he said something like “I didn’t know” (can’t remember the exact quote), but it was in the airplane when Sherlock found out he’d been played. Mycroft didn’t want to upset his brother. He seems so cold often but it’s clear that he cares for Sherlock a lot. And he actually meant it when he was sorry for Sherlock.
