It's normal to say prayer before dinner at these kinds of schools. Even though people don't do that at home. But Denmark and Sweden (I assume?) are christian contries. So these traditional schools does it. The closest thing to a school like the one in this show in Denmark is "Herlufsholm". The crown princes children were about to enlist in the boadring school (they went to public school before) but there was revealed to be scandals at the school so the royal family backed out. It was a huge deal last in the media last year. It's such a prestige school so to discover the things that went on there was wild. So even though August's words were of course exrteme they are true to some extent. That goes for all places in life - money and status buys silence...
