May Mid-Month Update

As mid-May comes upon us I wanted to provide some updates.

The kiddo turns 4 months today, and the last two weeks have been a bit fraught with health issues. Nothing life-threatening, but enough to require us to remain vigilant and nearby to maintain that. It has been physically and emotionally exhausting. We've been able to telehealth and she goes into the doc office next week.

Amber is the main breadwinner in the house and since her "parental leave" ended on the 1st (in quotes because, since we adopted, neither of us actually gets paid parental leave and we've either been away without pay {me} or on significantly reduced income {her}) watching the baby has been my job. Having to remain nearby her has of course made *this* [waves hands at the Patreon] difficult because; 

1) my computer is on the first floor and the baby is on the second, and;

2) of course, I am being very careful not to expose my baby to anything she shouldn't be exposed to [waves hands at the Patreon], and the downstairs set up is not very good for that.

To address this I'll be moving my computer up to our bedroom this weekend, so the kiddo can be in her nursery and I can be getting back to this [waves hands at the Patreon] work in a safe place. This specifically means the monthly prose work and lettering comic pages.

Of course, before we got the kiddo there was already an issue with comic page delays. Ale has again promised to make up the speed of comic production, but I've not received anything this month. I've not abandoned our partnership, but I won't say I haven't started putting feelers out for other options if this continues much longer.

I am thankful for OldNorthridge, who has been providing me some amazing BEFORE AND AGAIN pencil pages. While the plan is to get them properly inked, I will be working on getting my "quick-inked" version of the pages up for people to enjoy. Erosarts has also finished the last page of SBG #2, and I will start getting his pages worded and posted. I've also more SPITELY pages to put together and post. To my knowledge MYTH TRIAL is running on schedule.

My most sincere thanks for everyone who has patiently waited and supported me so far through 2021's unexpected life changes. I really did not think I'd be so much more disrupted in life this year over last year - although these disruptions are certainly more welcome.

But, still, disruptions...
