CUDA for Windows Vista (NVIDIA 35x-37x Drivers)
Added 2025-01-11 01:40:00 +0000 UTCThere are two things that do not work properly on Windows Vista with later NVIDIA drivers: Vulkan and CUDA. And with OBS Studio and FFmpeg, CUDA is necessary to use NVENC, so that's three in some cases.
You will have to use an older version of OBS Studio such as version 19 to use NVENC with these drivers, as newer versions require higher CUDA API levels not implemented in these drivers (for example, OBS Studio 27 requires an NVIDIA 418.81 driver).
CPU usage should be reduced considerably when encoding video with NVENC in use.
Run the CMD script in the zip archive to install the patch; it has been tested with Quadro driver 372.95, but should be compatible with drivers from version 350 and up.
