Patreon Money, the quandary...
Added 2019-03-13 19:25:41 +0000 UTCAs I've noted in my welcome post I never want to hide anything behind a paywall. This brings me to explaining exactly what your contributions will go towards because your investment is extremely important.
I make more than enough to survive and do what I love so subsidizing my income isn't important to me. What I want to do is have transparency with the monthly contributions from all of you here on Patreon.
The first month, March 2019, all proceeds will go to my favorite charity Oscar Mike because I love to give back and it's an amazing charity.
Going forward I'll be keeping a rolling account of funds and will using it to purchase the things you all want to see me work on. Either rolls of filament, bearings, motors, printers, and so on. Basically your monetary contributions will fund future projects of your choosing.
Once we've voted on the next project I can price out what's needed and get the supplies and then whatever is left over carries on to the next month.
In the end I really want to keep what comes in as project money for all the things we decide to work on. It's fair to all of you to know where I'm getting what and where your investment is going. That's my way of trying to truly appreciate your help and support.
Hopefully this wasn't too boring and of course thank you so much for helping me out and being so supportive over the last year.
