More progress and new stuff!
Added 2019-07-12 05:41:23 +0000 UTCThe Warhammer MK3s aka the Duet 2 super powered MK3s got a fancy control screen today. The PanelDue 5i in my self designed almost not crappy case looks huge and sightly glorious. No more stuttering around on my phone just to do simple tasks.
If you missed the Woot special last week you may not have gotten the $150 brand new ender 3 deal with $8 shipping. Mine arrived today and I've written some notes down to make this the weirdest ender 3 possible. Wait till you see the strange choice in mods but I limited myself to a max $120 limit for all the mods and will not use any name brand components.
I call this the cheap printer cheap upgrade challenge. I want to stay under $300 total but do something crazy mod wise so stay tuned for that.
Petg profiles are going slow but I only have two mostly normally prusa's to work with. All my others are down for maintenance as I've put that off for way too long.
Okay back to the couch for a little relax time before bed. Just finished swapping the stock creality hotend on my Duet Maestro powered BMG BL Touch Ender 5 with a microstepping and dialed in my first print afterwards and it's glorious. Retractions went from 6.2mm down to 4mm. Yeah. Millimeters!!! Spent any free moments sending prints and getting it dialed in so I can print something 250mm tall! I haven't gone full height yet but if this passes I'll go full height and find something cool to print.
