Finally got the last of the mods printed while not being home much at all these last 3-4 days.
I've dry tested the filament path and it's smooth as can be. In fact it's much smoother than before so looks like these smart people and their mods help.
I did want to start tweaking the mmu2 for the bmg but realized something and it's that I don't have an mmu2 style filament sensor even hooked up on my bear BMG. The good news is I do have it hooked up on my mosquito mk3s and I've always wanted to test the mmu2 on the mosquito.
No clue if it'll work and I have nothing to work with but I'll try it. I also have mk3s bear extruders printed so I can upgrade one bear and have that to test but in the end I think I'm going to swap the mosquito mk3s for a stock extruder after I test the mosquito hotend.
This is definitely going to be an adventure and in theory it should work great since the heatbreak and where there would be PTFE is still solid titanium so it should leave no room for tip expansion. I could be very wrong and could jam the mosquito but this is all in the name of science.
Will report back once I start messing aroind again which will probably be next week sadly. Just so swamped these days. π’
