Now I am not a physicist, I am not engineer, and I am most certainly not whatever Bulma is, but I think… that the step to build a robot arm is slightly smaller than the freaking Time Machine. Just saying.

A mechanical arm wouldt be cheap and they required everything for the time machine. Also saiyans strenght is far beyond earth minerals, like steel or iron.
