Purple Bear is alive!!!
Added 2020-01-11 03:59:35 +0000 UTCIt took forever but V0.4 of Purple Bear is ready for tests. I’m trying out the stock Bear extruder with the LDO planetary geared extruder motor first. I’ve been itching to test it so I’m going to run a whole bunch of prints with it. The only issue is I’m completely out of clean stock nozzles in 0.4mm. Right now it’s got a coated 0.6mm nozzle so I’ll make a 0.6mm nozzle profile for everyone and then add the next bits to this printer.
So what’s the next step??? Stock nozzle of some sort and get test prints with the geared motor. Take off the geared motor and try a stock 1.8 degree motor. Test prints.
Theeeeen I have a high flow Dragon hotend coming in and we will see how high flow it is. More tests.
Theeeeeeeeennn it’s time to find the final pieces for this sexy printer. A final hotend and extruder. I’m hoping to work with Vecko to make a beautiful Bear extruder for the Slice Mosquito OR the new Copperhead. If I can possibly get a Copperhead to him then life will be easier. Crossing the fingers!!!
Now back to making profiles and testing.
