Benazine

Okay, let me explain.

Panacea has a cousin. Her name is Benazine. They look a LOT alike. So much people often mistake one for another. And they often mistake them for twins. But alas, they are not. They are only cousins. And they aren’t even close. They used to be… best friends and all, but as often happens, the girls grew apart.

Panacea grew to become graceful, gentle and charming. Her looks matched her personality. She is as beautiful as she is kind. Spoiled… maybe just a little 🤭

But Benazine - Yowsa! That is a different swan all together.

Benazine grew to be just as pretty and elegant as her cousin. But where Panacea was as kind and sweet as can be, Benazine became more and more uptight and more and more spoiled.

In the end, she was sent away from Lutetia by her parents who had enough and said she needed a change of pace. Out into the idyllic countryside of her uncle and aunt.

She was sent to a charming and gentle little village in the northern Gaul. She was NOT happy with the change. Benazine was used to 3 prepared meals a day. Now… if she wanted to eat, she had to go and get her meal, and also… work…

I would like to imagine her as a Bonnie like character in ancient Gaul 🤭

You may wonder, my dear patron, why is she wearing the exact same outfit as Panacea? Well the answer is that… that IS Panacea’s outfit. As she moved into the old hut of Panacea, who moved to Condatum shortly after her wedding to Tragicomix. She left a few outfits behind including one of her iconic dresses. As she and Benazine has the exact same measures, Benazine could wear it.

Her clothes were ruined on the travel because they got wet by the heavy rain. She had only this outfit to wear. And many of the inhabitants of the village mistook her for Panacea - much to her annoyance.
