Ron and Hera
Added 2025-08-01 13:34:11 +0000 UTCWhen it comes to Zeus relationship with Hera in RSAHNP Zeus ain’t exactly happy in his marriage with Hera, nor is Hera happy being married to Zeus.
In the story, Zeus was originally married to Métis but as fate made Zeus dispose of her he needed a new Queen. Demeter wasn’t a proper match. Hestia had chosen a different path, and Aphrodite… well… she was too powerful.
Thus he picked Hera. A goddess that was more like a smaller copy of Metis. Just less… wise. Zeus probably thought he was gonna replace Metis easily, but as the years progressed, he and Hera only grew apart. But Hera was clinging to the power her new position gave her, and she was NOT willing to give it up to anyone. Thus the resentment between the two deities only grew.
When Ron enters the frame, Hera is desperate for love and affection, and that Ron has in spades, and she gorges herself on that. She craves it. And she gets it… for free… no strings attached. That is what in end melts her heart for Ron. He has all this love, and he asks for nothing in return. That I like to believe convinces Hera more than anything that her future lies not with her unfaithful husband… but with this young man… who sees nothing but good in her. And what little bad he might sense… he is willing to work with.
