Just to be clear, I do like the game/combat design of Dante and Nero. I also like the "looks" designed for Lady and Trish. I just don't like their stories from the series, and Vergil's story struck me more - I consider Vergil more a "fallen hero to a lost cause" than a "villain".

2019-03-11 15:31:43 +0000 UTCVergil really became very popular, I think there's a big chance for him to get a DLC too, since the third game they included him as a playable character on all next games, that was actually only 2 games, 4 and even DMC! I think they gonna do it sooner or later.

In fact, I don't like Nero and Dante either ... the only character I side with is Vergil, and sadly we cannot play as him in the game "per se".

Shall you have reached the point where Dante has a "personal talk" with them, Griffon reveals both himself (Griffon) and Shadow (the panther) are born from the "thoughts" of V's "older self" whilst Nightmare is a "relic" from a "FORM" of V's "older self" during a certain event in the past.
