You know... I do agree with you in many things but, even knowing the flaws that them both have, I cannot help thinking that sometimes a volcano eruption and a tsunami even though they’re two destructive natural forces, if them both collide a beautiful tropical island can emerge from it. Also a song from Ben Platt called Grow as we go crossed my mind, very accurate to make my point.

I think Garret needs someone he can care about and to take care of - that will be healing for him and give him a chance to grow up and change positively as a man. Jonny is broken, but needs someone strong and loving to help him through the pain and abuse. Someone who cares and isn't immediately trying to get into his pants. Maybe they don't get together immediately, but maybe they start as friends who deeply care and support each other.

Garrett and Olive should just fuck and get it over with. As for Jonny, he's got too many issues and harsh secrets that he needs to get through, so he's in no position to be in a relationship with anyone. Garrett needs a guy that can balance him out.

I might be rooting for Garrett and Jonny but maybe in the future, after Jonny has had some time to heal and to find someone to talk about what's on his mind and find a way to cope with it in a healthy manner. Right now any relationship might get to be toxic for him if he hasn't had his peace with himself. 😥 Oh, and I also hope Garrett is not going to be rude in case he says no to Olive. It would definitely be a kind change for him. ❤️

Jonny needs a better guy. And Olive needs more screentime.

Jonny's too broken yet. Garret's an ass. They both need some healing, but I am not sure they are right for each other. They do seem to like each other a lot, but that doesnt mean they are right. Olive's fiercer and he can put Garret in his place. I see a better chance of success in the short-mid term. With Jonny, i smell more explosions than sustained development.
