While some of you may have caught all the symbolisms in it already, I'd like to take a short moment to dissect this particular scene. I think an effective sex scene in a narrative sense should either have a significant progress to the story, or it should talk about the characters within it. That was what I was trying to do with this little hot scene.
Everything in it reflected on how Garrett and Jonny were as characters, and how they grew into one another as a couple. In the beginning, Garrett was very much in control. Even though he let Jonny tell him what to do, Jonny was in the back seat and Garrett had the steering wheel. He tried to be as gentle as he can with Jonny, but he still loves to be in charge. As the scene progressed, Jonny started to be more comfortable with Garrett and came out of his shell by making his own demands. This is when Garrett finally gave up control and let Jonny took over that wheel by going on top of him (and that was also how they finished).
I think writing these two is always interesting because they are both dominant in their own ways. Their dynamic will always be different from the other couples in this series and It can be challenging to write, but it is also a lot of fun!
Anyway, thank you for reading my thoughts and process. The reactions these past few weeks make me really happy and I hope we can continue these interactions. More to come about these two boys and the others next week.
