Fun Facts #2

I wanna share some storylines or elements that got scrapped in the writing room from the past few seasons that I may or may not revisit in the future. They’re mostly from my outlines and here are a few of them that didn't make it to the actual page.

- The Danny squad wasn't Cora and Korn at first: During Garrett's Plan-B storyline, the Danny squad who tried to keep Garrett away from Danny was gonna be three bears who were the members at the pool, not the employees. But I felt like there would be too many characters being introduced for no future purposes. So I gave this role to Cora and Korn who were already going to be introduced as Danny's coworkers. Funny enough, one of the bears actually made it to the comic later on, and it was Byson!

- Zeke was the one who originally got attacked by Dustin in the alley behind Mojave bar: This was written in 2019 and it was very much a hate crime storyline. However, I felt like it would happen too abruptly without anything leading up to it, since Dustin and Zeke wouldn't interact before then. It's a subject that I didn't want to take lightly and it needed a proper screen time. Additionally, it felt out of place with the overall tone of the comic at the time. When the character Harry was written, it felt more cohesive that the attack was about domestic violence Jonny went through that was already built up. I may revisit this subject again in the future when there's a right story to tell.

- Kazem was supposed to have a one night stand with Tak and Damien after their wedding: This idea was scrapped pretty quickly when I started to build things between Kazem and Korn after Zeke's birthday. It wouldn't feel right that the threesome would happen in the middle of this new romance. Not sure it will ever happen now.

- Jonny was supposed to catch Danny and Zeke doing the golden shower in their bathroom: This was originally the incident that sparked Jonny to think about moving out. I have hinted a few times that Zeke might be into the idea as he liked to watch Danny doing number one. But since Danny and Zeke haven't done anything that kinky before, they shouldn't get exposed for it instantly. So I switched it to D&Z walked in on Jorrett instead, and it made more to that storyline since Jonny was such a private person.
