I wouldn't blame Ray if he wants to step back either ESPECIALLY because Clyde had said something hurtful - even if it wasn't intended to be cutting and was a panicked defense in the face of a bigoted family. Time and space are the best thing right now, probably. Also, someone needs to read the mother for filth six ways until Sunday.

I can only imagine what is burning in his mind right now. This story isn’t over, as yet. It is also echoing Kazan and Koran’s issue. Everyone has their own pathway to travel on this subject. What will forever bother me is why the LGBTQ+ folk, HAVE to deal with any type of “coming out”! Straight folk never worry about dealing with their sexuality or being confronted with it! SHM 😤😮💨

2024-09-26 04:38:56 +0000 UTCThe situation is definitely not ideal and I am happy Ray is walking away. What Clyde did is not okay under any circumstance. Just beyond disrespectful. Ray has all my love as he is definitely going through it with someone he trusted and possibly loved, but that is the risk when choosing to be in this relationship. I just expected more of Ray as someone who has more experience living and dating as a gay man, granted love is a blind spot for many, to have not put himself in this situation in the first place. And yes there is big difference between being a secret and being told your relationship is “mistake/nothing really” in front of you. But that’s the risk he put himself in. Clyde is a definitely a mess who is not ready to be in any relationship until he figures himself out tbh, and either moves on without his family as they don’t seem to be supportive type or picks a different career which either difficult.

Not worth the secrecy, the high maintenance, the humiliation, the neglect, etc. I respect their right to come out when they want & the reasons why they haven't yet, but that does NOT mean I'm willing to put myself through the misery of being with someone who can't be authentic - not when I've worked so hard to fully embrace myself. Walk away & don't look back, Ray. He's not ready for you yet.
